Since its introduction in 1981, the Fiat Ducato has been a popular choice for camper van conversions. Companies like HYMER, Dethleffs, Arca and Elddis have all taken a swipe at coming up with the perfect conversion. Here are some photos of the various campers based on the original Ducato chassis (’81-’93).
If you have a Ducato-based camper, send us a photo and we’ll add you to the hall of fame!

Hi , I have tried to post a photograph of my Fiat Ducato based AS camper van but am having problems. Some of the members of the ASOF dont seem to believe that AS built on the Ducato chassis and seem to think that lots are fake…The picture of the Ducato based camper van is quite obviously genuine.
Hi there Dave – email me the photo to jay@haydon.eu and I’ll post it myself! 🙂
On it’s way Jay…
